Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Consistly (“we,” “us,” or “our”) helps professionals plan and publish on LinkedIn. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Questions? Email us at [email protected] anytime.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run and improve Consistly.

Information you provide

  • Account details — your name, email, and profile picture when you sign up.
  • LinkedIn connection — when you connect your LinkedIn account we receive your public profile (name, LinkedIn ID, profile picture) and an access token that lets you publish posts from Consistly. We never see or store your LinkedIn password.
  • Onboarding details — your goals, audience, and writing-style samples, which we use to tailor content to your voice.
  • Payment information — card payments are processed directly by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1certified service provider (the highest certification tier). Your full card number, CVC, and expiry are sent from your browser to Stripe and never reach Consistly's servers. We only store a customer reference and a subscription reference.

Information generated through use

  • Content you create — post drafts, weekly ideas, carousel slides, and your strategy document.
  • AI usage data — how many posts and carousels you have generated, used for billing limits and fair use.
  • Performance metrics — aggregate post impressions, reactions, and comments where available.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information captured in server logs.
  • Cookies — see Section 8 for categories and how to change your choices.
We do not use your content or voice samples to train public AI models.

2. How We Use Information

  • Run and maintain Consistly — accounts, authentication, and billing.
  • Generate personalized post ideas, drafts, and carousels tailored to your voice.
  • Communicate about product updates, service notices, and support.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • Improve reliability and performance through aggregate analytics — only if you consent to analytics cookies.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only with the sub-processors who help us run the service, or where required by law.

Google (Firebase, Cloud Run)Authentication, database, and hosting
LLM providersAI models that generate post ideas, drafts, and images
LinkedInAccount connection and post publishing
StripePayment processing for paid plans
PineconeVector search that powers AI relevance
Google reCAPTCHASpam and abuse protection on public forms
Email (SMTP)Transactional emails — receipts, invites, notifications

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety of our users and platform. We do not share your information with marketers or unrelated third parties.

4. AI and Content Generation

Consistly uses third-party large language models (LLMs) to generate post ideas, drafts, and carousel copy. When you ask Consistly to generate content:

  • We send your prompt and relevant context (profile, voice samples, goals) to the AI provider on your behalf.
  • The provider returns generated content, which is displayed only inside your account.
  • Under our data-processing terms, your content is not used to train public foundation models.

5. Data Storage & Retention

  • Data is stored on reputable cloud infrastructure, primarily Google Cloud.
  • We retain account information for as long as your account is active.
  • When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days — except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records for tax compliance).
  • You can request deletion of specific information sooner by emailing [email protected].

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information — encryption in transit, secure storage for sensitive fields like LinkedIn access tokens, and strict access controls on our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to keep things safe.

Card payments bypass our infrastructure entirely — they are routed from your browser straight to Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified service provider, so cardholder data never enters our environment.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications.
  • Withdraw consent for analytics or marketing cookies at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site (authentication, security). With your permission we also use analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your choices anytime using Cookie preferences in the footer.

9. Children

Consistly is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us so we can remove it.

10. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure is primarily hosted in the United States. If you access Consistly from outside the US, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the US or other countries where our providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we will post an updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
